Read the full story of Pride Festival 2019 main event, WE Party. Spanning almost the entire width of the venue were three giant digital screens that could be seen from any vantage point in the room, set above the elevated stage, which would host incredible DJ’s, performances and artists throughout the night. It was a non-stop parade of star-studded appearances by Bette Midler, Cindy Lauper, Billy Porter, STOMP!, Conchita Wurst, Brandon Pereyda from Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity, Chris Grant, Brandy, and Amanda Lepore! WE Party brought the LGBT community for a night of celebration, hope, and to re-ignite the spirit of the community. The WE Party and Pride Festival 2019 joined forces to produce Magic Planet: a gay nightlife extravaganza! The incredible night set a new record in the United States, and with over 15,000 attendees, it became the largest gay night club event in US history! There was so much to see, do, and experience! Selfie-stations, massive quick-serve bars, gourmet food trucks, casual lounges, and activity centers were located throughout the gigantic space. The Main Event Saturday was at the Javits Center. Featuring music by sexy DJ’s Dan Slater, Phil Romano, and Ava Max, the TeaDance came complete with a featured performance by drag queen gender bending legend Conchita Wurst. The annual infamous TeaDance at Pier 17 is the world’s biggest rooftop party, and the gays were out in full force. Pride Festival 2019 had two Saturday parties to wet your Pride weekend appetite. With non-stop events all weekend long, Pride Festival 2019 was the best way to experience the historical anniversary of the birth of the modern LGBT equality movement.
